why do i keep getting unable to open dialog box incalendar when trying to do
print set up?

This is a long shot but have you tried reinstalling your printer driver?

This was very helpful. I had an inkling this might be it but it was on both
the desktop and laptop for a networked printer on still another computer.

If the driver was automatically installed from the machine sharing the
printer, remove & readd the printer.
