I recently had to re-install Microsoft Office 2007 on my computer. In doing
so I apparently lost some Outlook 2007 format settings. When I send a meeting maker, recipients do not receive a notice to accept, decline or reject but, rather a "cryptic" email. (This is true even for those recipients using Outlook 2007.) Any recommendations on what settings I need to adjust to correct this issue? I recently installed a function to sync Outlook 2007 with Google Calendar. Would that have caused the problem? Thanks, mucrick |

It's possible the sync tool caused it but I'd check the message format and
encoding setting in tools, options, mail format first. Can you post a screenshot of the cryptic email? Oh, so its just coming in as text format, not ical? I thought you meant it
was full of garbage characters - that means encoding problems. ![]() Do you know if the problem existed before you installed the sync tool? If you disable the sync tool, does it work? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Diane,
Removing the sync didn't help. However, I noticed that email formatting was set to plain text. I switched to rich text and that seemed to do the trick. mucrick "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Oh, so its just coming in as text format, not ical?
