I have a recurring appointment that I deleted but I'm still getting a
reminder notice that I cannot dismiss. The error message says "Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment". I am using Outlook 2007 and would like to remove the reminder. Thanks |

I'm not sure this will work but it's worth a try if you haven't done it. If
you go to your mail and look at the files listed on the left. Find your file Business Contacts Manager and expand it (by clicking on the box w/the plus sign to the left of the file name). then click on your deleted items. When you find the recurring appointment that you can't dismiss, hilight it and right click then open. If the reminder is set, clear it and see if that doesn't work. Good Luck. Good idea and I tried it but the reminder still pops up. When I looked
closer at the reminder it says the appointment was this morning at the exact time I turned my machine on which means I have some wierd loop going on. Thanks for the idea. I found this in another post and it solved the problem.
Finally found the fix...maybe it'll work for you? You will need to go to the Calendar. Select View - Current View - All Appointments This should show a list of meetings in the Calendar. We also need to disable any filters to ensure that all of the meetings are showing in this list. Select View - Current View - Customize Current View. The meetings should be grouped according to Recurrence. the Recurrent (none) items can be ignored as they do not cause the issue. No you will need to open every recurrence meeting to see if it opens successfully. The ones causing the problem will give an error message. The faulty meeting should be moved out of the Calendar, either by deleting it or by moving it to a Personal Folder file. "John" wrote: Good idea and I tried it but the reminder still pops up. This has been a nuisance for months. The remedy worked perfect. I'm euphoric
that I don't have to look at that reminder anymore! John... you're the best. "Tom" wrote: Same problem with me. Thanks, John for tracking this down.
