Default Active Appointment

When I am in Day/Week/Month or just Month view, is there any way to make the
calendar show more than one line of text for an active appointment? Right
now it only shows one line, so if I have a long title for the appointment, it
only gives me 3-4 words.

No. The day or week may show more, if the appointment is long enough (i.e.,
covers 1 hr when the calendar shows 15 min periods). You can also use the
Day/Week/Month with autopreview view to see more details.
