Default Outlook Reminders Error

My Outlook reminders are not working. Upon opening Outlook I will recieve and
error message stating that there was a error with one or more of my
reminders. And from that point on I don't get any of my reminders. I do have
re-occuring appointments and other meeting that are scheduled months in
advance. How can I correct this without erasing and restablishing all the
appointments. I have made sure that I am current on all patches for office.

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch.

Meg seems to have a similar problem - I've posted with her. Note that I did
delete and re-create the only recurring appointment that I could find in (my
user's) calendar.

Try the /cleanreminders startup switch and see if that helps.

No luck - although it did seem to help clear out 11 entries. The next step
that I read about is saving, deleting, and restoring the calendar ... it
sounds like a high-risk choice.

Set the calendar to Active Reminders and see if that item is listed, if so
delete it. If not then try Recurring Appointments view and see if it's there
in that view. If that works then delete the item also from Deleted Items,
exit Outlook and restart it again with /cleanreminders as well as
/cleanfreebusy (outlook.exe /cleanreminders /cleanfreebusy) and see if
you're good to go then. Do that before taking any drastic actions.

Thank you - I missed this solution before trying my own - - I somehow missed
the notifier that you had answered.

My final solution is in:

The calendar was exported to a ".csv" file.
Next all appointments were deleted (View - arrange by - current view - by
category - collarse all - delete)
Outlook was closed and reopened, there was an application hang upon closing
The calendar was imported from the ".csv" file

Final result: All appointments were restored, with reminders. All recurring
events became single events.

The end user is now happy.

Default Outlook Reminders Error

Hi Have the same problem reminders not popping up, was working fine. I have
tried

The calendar was exported to a ".csv" file.
Next all appointments were deleted (View - arrange by - current view - by
category - collarse all - delete)
Outlook was closed and reopened, there was an application hang upon closing
The calendar was imported from the ".csv" file

FAILED............
RUN with :
outlook.exe /cleanreminders /cleanfreebusy

FAILED.......................

The 'START' 'END' & 'RECURRENCE PATTERN' INFORMATION IS NOT SHOWING IN THE
HEADER SECTION AND THE RECURRENCE FILL SHOWS NO DATE.

I HAVE SPENT THREE DAYS ON TRYING TO SORT OUT THIS PROBLEM.

Please don't shout, all caps is shouting.

Did you try the /resetfolders switch?
