Default Hundreds/1,000s copies of events

Hi,
WinXp User w Outlook 2k3 using Exchange 2k3 mailbox store, user has a Treo
that he syncs with his outlook.

when the user opens outlook either via his desktop, another desktop or OWA,
within a few seconds the reminder window pops up and the number of reminders
just keeps going up.

Using outlook /cleanreminders /resetfolders as command prevents the reminder
window from popping up and I can find that three events get copied hundreds
if not thousands of times, and will continue to creat them until it
overwhlems the computer.

I am able to manually delete the duplicates and then all is fine for a few
days and then it starts to happen again.

The computer scans virus and spyware free.

I am out of ideas......Thanks in advance
