Default Outlook 2007 Reminders Pop up then close immediatly.

When a reminder comes up in Outlook 2007, it immediatly closes again. I went
into options and the setting for how long it should stay up is fine. Pop up
Blocked is turned off. How do I get the reminder to stay up until I get rid
of it myself?

the reminder dialog is not modal - so it will stay open but not 'on top' of
other windows.
