I use Outlook 2007 on my desktop PC and also on my AT&T Tilt phone and I have
the following issue that I can’t seem to find a solution too. I travel a great deal too many different time zones around the world. When I enter appointments in the Outlook calendar, I enter the time and date of the appointment but when I change time zones my Tilt automatically changes the time. When that happens, Outlook changes the time and or date based on where I set the appointment. So if I setup the appointment in Outlook while in Rio for 1PM to 4PM and then travel back to Los Angeles, where I have the appointment, when the Tilt changes time to the different time zone, the appointment I entered changes to 5PM to 8PM. In addition, if I have an all day event it seems to and I set it in Rio and travel to LA it causes the event to be split between two days. It doesn’t matter if I setup the appointment on my desktop or Tilt. Can anyone tell me how to keep the time and date to the entered time and date no matter where I am or what the local time or date may change too? Thank you. |

So you are entering the appointment in outlook for the correct time in the
time zone where the appointment will be (ie, a 9 am appointment in LA is created as 12 pm when the computer is set on eastern time) and syncing with the phone changes the time when you sync back to outlook? Thanks, did more investigating and found that the problem was mine, it was a
lack of understanding of how Outlook handles dates and times. I found several postings that deal with the issue and was able to download OutlookTimeZoneMove.exe to help me solve the my issue. Thank you for replying.
