Format Calendar title from mm/dd to day of wk

The title bar at the top of a day in Calendar is displaying mm/dd. I want it
to display the day spelled out. Also want Date Navigator to display Month
names instead of mm yyyy.

Control Panel-Regional Options-Date. Ensure the day is set to dddd.

After furious head scratching, Doug asked:
