My client has created a calendar in Outlook 2007 that needs to be distributed
outside the SBS 2008 environ. He''d like it to be avail via a web browser. I have a similiar calendar on Windows Live, which is how I suggested he do that. However, it now appears that Live no longer supports the Publish Calenedar feature. The Publish calendar in Outlook allows sending to a WEB DAV ISP but those I've called, Tuhows (web.com) and GoDaddy had no idea what WEB DAV is. 1) Has anyone published a calendar, either the SBS 2k8 Sharepoint or Outlook 2007 calendar to the web and not to Windows Office Live? 2) Does IIS in SBS2k8 supporrt WEB DAV if I were to create a web site solely for the use of the calendar. I'd rather not do that but I'm in a bind and need this by COB Wednwesday. Thanks for your help. Bob Sarna Tech Addison |

Is the IIS server on SBS facing the internet? It supports WEB DAV. However,
unless you have an app that renders the calendar, it will only be viewable in outlook. Where is the calendar? In a public folder or a mailbox? You may be able to make it available, especially if its just for a few people to see, not the general public (ie, like an upcoming events calendar in a public website). -- -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "iBob" wrote in message ... There is no IIS server facing the web at this time. This is for the Chicago
Board of Ed, where tens of people must see the scheduile of several doctors that visit schools. I created a sample calendar whiuch thwey were very happy with. It was created in Outlook 2007 and sent to Office Live see the sample at zped.info. After having the client recreate their calendar I was to publish it to Live and then the HTTP links was missing. Outlook states that it can be sent to a WEB DAV site. Now that I've been readying a web server to try IIS with WEB DAV, I undwerstand now that those that wish to see the calendar must have an app to read it? I honestly believe that those that need to read te calendar will not oblige me by installing an app. The previous calendar was on a linux server and was a free app that was impossible to cut and paste, etc. They bought this shiny new SBS 2008 server from me, and Outlook 2007 installed on 22 laptops that need to get the daily's from a calendar. Note: Beside the 22 laptops in the field, dozens of others must read the
calendar. I have no knowledge of which version of Office, Outlook or even if they have Outlook on theirt computers is installed. I merely wish to read the calendar in a web browser. They either need Outlook 2007 or other ical reader OR you need to use an
asp/php application on the server to render it in the browser. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "iBob" wrote in message ... Can you give me an idea or name of an asp/php application? I don't know
where to begin.
