Meeting Request - CTRL S
Hello,
Outlook 2003 SP3 Exchange 2003 SP2 I prepare a new meeting request : I take the default date and time proposed I add a subject I add the attendees I save this using the keys : CTRL + S I do not close the meeting request I change the date and time and click on send. On my Outlook calendar : everything is OK. Now, I open OWA : the meeting still appears on the default date and time ! If I change something in the subject using Outlook == the subject is changed in Owa, but the "fault" date and time remain. If I change the date or the time of the meeting, it is updated in OWA. So, Why is the date not changed when I click on the Send button ? -- La vitesse de la lumière étant supérieure Ã* celle du son, il n''est donc pas anormal que beaucoup de personnes paraissent brillantes jusqu''Ã* ce qu''elles parlent !

How much time passes between the save and send? does it update as expected

That 's what I though at the beginning but I have tried : - check immediatly OWA, == date and time not updated - wait an hour before checking (another meeting request) == date and time not updated - try to create new meeting request today, the first "faulty" first meeting request are still not updated ! If I reopen the meeting request and change the time (one minute), the update is made on OWA ! I have try to check the different fields (one correct meeting request, one faulty meeting request) using mdbview32 or mfcmapi : I can find anything wrong. May be, I have not seen the right fields. I do not think it is Outlook side, all the meeting request are ok. Is it an option on the OWA side ? Why are the subjects updated in OWA and not the date/time ? What I would try tomorrow : create a meeting request in OWA and check the behaviour in Outlook. It's not a setting that needs changed - something is not working right. I'm
just not sure if it’s a client or server problem. Are you using cached mode in Outlook? I thought maybe the cache wasn't updating to the server correctly - the extra Ctrl+S to force the save should force it. Does it work if you switch modes? We are not working in cached mode. It is not the "rule" here !
