If you right click and hold the contact, you can drag/drop it on the calendar
in the navigation bar (folder list). You will get a pop up menu that lets you "Address New Meeting" as the top most item - that creates a meeting to email address of the contact. Dragging should work. What happens when you drag and drop on the Calendar
