Hi!
I am using MS Office 2003 with MS Exchange 2007 and few POP3 accounts, my default account is MS Exchange account and the delivery is in Outlook PST. In any of the account / folder on behalf permission is not enabled. Situation:- I have sent calendar request using a POP3 account however the client has received header with POP3 account; on behalf of; exchange account as sample shown below. My Name - POP3 ]; on behalf of; My Name - (exchange account id) I fail to understand why it has happened because whenever I reply email using any of the configured account it works fine but in calendar it actually failed, can anyone guide how to avoid such accidental situations… Thank you, Darshan Sharma |

I think in my previous post I was not able to explain the situation.
Here I again try to explain. I am using Office 2003 with Exchange 2007 and few POP3 accounts are also configured. Exchange account is set as default account. the delivery is set to .PST file and none of the account is set for onbehalf permission enabled. Now when I am sending a calendar request to my client using one of the POP3 accounts the client is receiving calendar request as per the following pattern- My Name - POP3 ]; on behalf of; My Name - (exchange account id) However the correct method should be: My Name - POP3 ] Since I have not enabled onbehalf permission in any of the account (exchagne or POP3) then why it is showing on behalf entry in the calendar request received by client and in my sent items. If you have an Exchange account in the profile, I think Exchange will
always try to send the message no matter what account you choose. You are choosing the account with the Accounts button, correct? It does this with older versions of Outlook but works much better with Outlook 2007 and will usually use the selected acct. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you keep Outlook open 24/7?
