Default Calendar server problem

WTF is wrong with the calendar.office.microsoft.com server??? Mid December
2009 things started to go south. Repeated appearance of login dialogue boxes
when the automatic updates of my published calendar occurred. Appearance of
error dialogue boxes: "The update of "calendar" failed." No one seems to
have an answer although many posts indicate that this problem is widespread.
Why can't I find any information on this from Microsoft?? If someone from
Microsoft sees this post, PLEASE post an explanation on Live ID and Microsoft
Online Office webpages!!!
(Why is it so d*mned hard to get information from Microsoft on their many
issues?)

Default Calendar server problem

For the benefit of others who find this post -

Go to office.com and sign in with the same Live ID you use to publish your
calendar and select "Save my e-mail address and password". Restart Outlook
and the browser. It should now work for either publishing or updating a
subscribed calendar, at least until you sign out of Office Online and/or
LiveID.

I’m not sure what the secret to making it work is - it took a few tries
before it worked for me. I trusted Microsoft.com for both web and cookies,
set cookie handling to allow all cookies, restarted both Outlook and IE, and
deleted saved passwords (for my liveid addresses) in Control Panel, User
accounts and cleaned out all cookies (I have two liveids and wanted to make
sure cookies for both were gone.)
