I was unaware that when performing the archive function it does not archive
your calendar entries as well - apparently after 6-months you are left with totally blank boxes. went into the Calendar archive folder - nothing there. How do I prevent these valuable business records from automatically deleting? How would I retrieve this information? |

Archive only archives if you tell it to. Do you sync with a smartphone?
Syncing with a smartphone when the phone is set to keep old appointments for less than 'forever' will delete them from outlook calendar. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Exchange server do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=33803 "Pat" wrote in message ... Along similar lines....is there anyway to have Outook keep only 60 days of
past appointments? I sync with my BlackBerry and have it set to only sync 60 days before and 365 after "today." However, in Outlook there are 600-some past appointments. I don't want my sync to have to parse ALL of those past appointments in Outlook...only the past 60 days. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Archive only archives if you tell it to. You'd need to use Autoarchive to remove them before the sync (especially if
you want to keep the appointments). If you don't care, the BB sync should either ignore them (first time sync) or delete them (as it deletes the appointments off the BB). See http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/auto/archive.htm if you need help with archiving. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Exchange server do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=33803 "john_s" wrote in message ...
