Under regular OE, when I click delete on a message it goes away.
When I click delete on a Newsgroup message, I get this very annoying prompt asking me if I'm really sure I want to delete the message. How can I turn this off? Thanks in advance. |

ink.net... Under regular OE, when I click delete on a message it goes away. When I click delete on a Newsgroup message, I get this very annoying prompt asking me if I'm really sure I want to delete the message. How can I turn this off? Sorry, that is hardcoded into OE. No option exists to turn it off. Very annoying. You are deleting the message only in your local message store. You might instead want to create a "Hide Ignored Messages" view and use that. Then you can can click in the Watch column of a message to mark it for hiding (a red hazard symbol appears). When you next visit the same group, that message will be hidden. Since you are probably deleting messages so you won't be bothered seeing them again in the future, hiding them with a custom view works just as well. -- __________________________________________________ Post replies to the newsgroup. Thanks. This sounds like something worthy of trying.
