I am running XP SP2 and I use OE to monitor one specific AOL email address
with a large volume of messages. Everything was working fine until this week. Suddenly, I cannot move random AOL emails from the Inbox to a local folder anymore. A pop-up error states that "The selected message could not be moved -- -- An error has occurred." There is no error message number, just the aforementioned text. After repeated attempts, the email message(s) cannot be moved to any folder in the OE application and the error message continually pops up. What could be causing this condition and how can I correct the problem? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, JC |

Create another local folder and see if you can move messages into it. Could be a possible corrupt Folders.dbx which containd the folder information. Try this, create a new Identity in OE. Set up the account in it and see if it works correctly. If it does, then it's a problem with one of the DBX files for that other Identity. |
