Can I somehow automatically forward all the messesges that I recieve in OE to
my gmail account? I know that gmail has a free POP but I really dont
understand how to use it. If anyone could tell me how to do this it would be

Look in Outlook Express under Tools/Message Rules and I think you'll find
out how to do it.

Ok, thank you but now do you know a way to keep the "from" on the email. I
dont want it to say it was from me.

Thank You!

Instead of forwarding them automatically
perhaps you could forward them as attachments in a batch
and then detach them once they get to GMail?
Then if GMail has rules too with sufficient capability
you could perhaps use them to automatically detach
the attachments as soon as your forwarded message
arrived.

That idea would work in OE, I don't use GMail
so I'm only suggesting it as a possible experiment.

For that matter I'm not really that familiar with the full capability
of OE's rules. Check also to see if you can automatically
forward messages as attachments. Then check to see if
GMail has rules too. Etc.

Thank You!

Good luck

No. I dont think you can send the messages in attachments, you can just send
them automatically.
Thanks

Actually you can send messages as attachment to another message.
Open a new message.
Arrange the screen to show both your OE and the new message. (Tile the screen)
Then drag message from OE to the new message and they become attachments to the new message.
Then save the new message, or forward it to gmail, or any other place you like.
