My PC is running XP Home SP2, DSL connection. Outlook Express 6 SP2
is my email and newsgroup problem. I have two identities set up. For
clarity's sake, I'll call them ID1 and ID2.

When I want to switch to ID2, I click File, Switch Identity, highlight
ID2, then click OK. Yet sometimes, instead of going to that identity, I'm
taken back to ID1. Sometimes I have to repeat these steps 2-3 times before
the identity I want to visit is opened up. Any ideas about this?

I have the same problem, except that OE wants to keep switching me from Main
Identity to Identity 2. XP Home SP2, DSL, OE 6.00.2800.1106
I don't really want to have to unistalll XP in order to fix OE.

With that version number, you are in need of a visit to the Windows Update
page to download and install all updates for your system marked as Critical.
You will find quite a few and they will most likely fix your problem.

When you have a problem, you should always start a new thread or
conversation, and not "jump into" another poster's thread. It helps us all
keep things straight. Come back after you've updated if you continue to
have problems.

Something is wrong. If you updated to SP2 you should not have that version
of OE.
