I get an unknown error message when trying to send email. It is as follows:
"An unknown error has occurred.Protocol:SMPT, Port:0, Secure(SSL): No,Error Number 0x800C012E." I've contacted my server and my settings are correct and they seem to think there is a problem with the outlook program. Help?? I am able to send and receive using Microsoft Outlook, so I cannot figure out what's wrong! |

That error usually means that some folder corruption in the message store
has taken place. Close Outlook Express and then find the hidden file "folders.dbx" and delete it. Then reopen Outlook Express. For why it happens, read this article: The Other E-Mail Threat: File Corruption in Outlook Express: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/...orruption.mspx -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. "Kass" wrote in message news ![]() I get an unknown error message when trying to send email.
