Tell us please exactly what you are attempting to do. It sounds like you
expect to be able to open the old Outlook Express on your old hard drive.
If your interest is in backup/restore operations for the old messages on
that hard drive, review the info at this link:
http://www.insideoe.com/backup/index.htm

Otherwise, please be more specific in the details of what it is you are
trying to accomplish.

How are you trying to access the information on the old hard drive? Is the
old drive mounted inside your computer or using a USB connected case for it?
Are you using Windows XP-SP2 as your operating system? Are you logged on as
Administrator? Have you taken ownership of the files in the folder you are
attempting to open?

Tell us "exactly" the steps you are using to 'open the folder' and the
complete and exact text of any error message you are getting. Without
specific, complete and exact information from you, no one is going to be
able to be of much help.
