In Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, I want to create a Rule that moves all incoming emails from a specific Sender, into a particular folder. I click on Tools/Rules and Alerts/New Rule. The Rules Wizard window appears. I select the first line under Stay Organized, which is: "Move messages from someone to a folder." I then move down to Step 2 of the Rules Wizard, at the bottom of the window, and click on the link that says: "People or distribution list."
Here is where my problem pops up. Instead of giving me a field where I can insert the email address of the sender whose emails I want to move to a particular folder, I get instead, my Address Book, which contains all of my contacts. The sender whose emails I am attempting to direct into a particular folder is not in my Address Book. Game over - there is nothing more I can do at that point. Ah - add the sender to your Address Book, I hear you cry. Nope. I can add him, but when I then go through the whole process again, and the Address Book comes up, he isn't in there. Very frustrating. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get the job done? |
