Default OE6 for Vista

I wonder if it is possible to run OE6 as a standalone application under
Vista. The import function of Windows Mail does not support so many other
email clients as OE6 and it occasionally fails to import email messages
stored in OE6.

That may be one of the reasons why Microsoft has decided to remove Windows
Mail out of Windows 7.
