Default blocked senders have disappeared

Did you guys ever resolve anything regarding this issue? I'm asking because
I've got the VERY SAME situation regarding my MAIL (not Newsgroups) in OE6.0.
I put in "blocked sender" e-mail addresses, get confirmation that they've
been recorded, and then a few days later the "Blocked Sender List" is empty.

As with the other poster, I have No GUID under HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Identies.

Would appreciate any help.

yes, clicking on the plus sign on 5.0 has several sub keys:

signatures

There is no GUID anyway, not even further down clicking on all of the +
signs just to check.
Doing a search in the registry for GUID and Global Unique IDentifier does
not give me any found results.

Blocked Senders is not in that group you just posted? Nor Rules? They should
both be there.

You didn't include the original post, but I believe this is your problem.

The Blocked Senders registry key is damaged.

1.. Close OE and then In Regedit, navigate to this key:

|--HKEY_CURRENT_USER
|-----Identities
|--------{GUID}
|-----------Software
|--------------Microsoft
|-----------------Outlook Express
|--------------------5.0

where GUID is the Global Unique IDentifier for your Identity.

2.. Under that key, you will find the following sub-keys, among
others:

|-----------------------Block Senders
|-----------------------Rules
|-----------------------Signatures

Select the Block Senders Key and delete it. Blocked Senders will be empty,
but you can rebuild it now.

Bruce:

Thank you for the reply. Since what I'm asking is very important, and
inasmuch as I know enough that messing with regedit is serious, I want to
make certain that I'm on the same page with you.

There is no GUID under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER. I did, however, find the
other items (categories). Are you suggesting that I delete the "Block
Senders" under 5.0, along with the "Mail" and "News" categories beneath it
(along with whatever is in the + items)?

Just want to be sure. Thank you.

The GUID, (Globally Unique Identifier), is the identity , a long string of
numbers and letters.

Right click on Blocked Senders for the correct identity and delete it. You
will be able to rebuild BS after doing this.
