Default Problem with DIrectdbNotifyWndproc

Anything scanning your email, such as an Antivirus or Antispam program?
Disable those options and see if the problem is fixed.

Mouse problems may be related to an ISP installing a program called
MotiveSmart Bridge. Look in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and see if
it's installed. If it is, uninstall it and reboot the computer. Its only
purpose is to help your ISP diagnose connection problems and it been known
to cause problems while using a mouse.

If those don't apply, you might want to review some of these prior postings
on Google about others with a similar problem:

Hi,

I have suddenly started having problems with my mouse (stops moving, stops
responding to click for 10-20 seconds at time intermittently) and wonder
if it is related to - again this problem suddenly appeared at the same
time - having errors when shutting down whereby DirectDBNotifyWndProc has
to be stopped manually.

I have tried sfc /scannow to no effect, reinstalled intellipoint mouse
software, compacted my mail folders etc.

Is this problem with directdb a red-herring - or if not what is the best
course of action to fix??
I am on OE 6 (6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

Regards,
John Bury
