Problem Solved!!
Too easy! :-) My Inbox folder and Deleted Items folder were the problems. I saved all the messages I needed to keep into a "named" folder in the folders tree (the one that includes inbox, deleted, drafts etc.) Close OE. Using "Search" I found the inbox.dbx folder and the deleted items.dbx folder and deleted them both. When you reopen OE it recreates those two new folders and all should be well from there on in. Now easy once again to delete messages. "Peter Foldes" wrote in message ... Geoff How are you trying to delete the messages.
