This is likely a basic inquiry that's been covered at some point,
though I don't see this specific thread. I've been dealing with this
for a while.

When using a wireless connection at the various locations that I work
from using my laptop, I'm unable to send mail directly using OE (I've
been jumping to webmail to send, but it's not effective as I work
primarily using OE). I'm new to laptop/wireless realm-- I've not had
trouble sending from my home wireless network set up, but I'm using my
ISP's SMTP address in my OE accounts to do so.

I've a friend on a Mac who is able to use an airport drop down menu
that allows for choosing the current location's wireless connection
anywhere she is-- I assume this changes the SMTP server address to
allow for sending mail (or is the SMTP protocol bypassed with
wireless?). Is there an equivalent to "airport" for a PC user?

Short of manually changing the SMTP protocol in my various ONE accounts
info, I've not been able to figure out how to be able to send mail
directly from each location I'm at-- plus I've not had success in
finding SMTP server info for the various wireless connections - I can
get the IP address and other address info, but can't see what to change
the SMTP location to.

I'd certainly appreciate any help with this dilemma.
