Hi All
When I delete files and clear history in IE5 it also deletes (or prevents access to) my email attachments. I need to be able to tidy up IE, but leave my attachments in place. The attachments still show when I look at a message but I cannot save them. When I click on the paper clip the file names are displayed very faintly and cannot be saved or selected, though they are still shown in the message. They are fine, and accessable normally, until I tidy up IE. So, can I change the location of where the attachments are saved when I receive an email? Or, can I stop the attachments being deleted when I tidy up IE? Many thanks for any help Mike |

Sorry, slip of the the finger, its IE6.
Many thanks Ron, unchecking the "Do not allow attachments .........virus" seems to have cured the problem and I can access the attachments once more. Simple when you know how......... Many Thanks, Mike "Ron Sommer" wrote: Are you actually running IE 5? Attachments are kept with the email unless you save to the hard drive. In OE, Tools, Options, Security tab, is "Do not allow attachments .........virus. checked? -- Ron Sommer" "Mike J" Mike wrote in message ... By the way Mike, you are using OE not IE for mail.

Thanks Richard
My problem was with deleting files in IE which caused my attachments in OE to not work properly. Problem solved now though.
