I have a pc running windows xp pro sp2, last week when printing from outlook
express it began displaying 3 script errors, 1334-invalid argument, 1386-object required, 1012-object required. I have tried everything I can find on the web to attempt to fix this, I ran sfc, re-registered a bunch of the .dll files, did a repair on IE, emptied all temps, ran WinDr., I even attempted to uninstall and reinstall, but kept getting an error message stating that there was already a newer version on the pc, even after I edited the registry and changed the IsInstalled to 0 for outlook express and internet explorer. I am down to trying a windows repair, but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas first. Thanks, |

If you can print from IE, but you receive the error message:
Line: 1344 Char: 1 Error: Unspecified error Code: 0 URL: res//C:\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg when trying to print from OE, go to Start | Run and type regsvr32 ole32.dll If you get the message that the registration was successful, then you should be able to print from OE then. If you still cannot print from OE then see these articles: Cannot Print from Internet Explorer http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=293176 Error Message When You Print from Internet Explorer: Printing Error: The Printer Cannot Be Found http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303360 Error Message When You Attempt to Print a Web Page: An Error Has Occurred in the Script on This Page http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303486 -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Did you try the recommended action, and then reboot the computer to see if
it was fixed? If not, why not? Is Surfairy installed on this computer?
811165 - Cannot Print in Internet Explorer if Surfairy Is Installed: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;811165 What version number is shown in the Help/About screen for Outlook Express? I had already checked for surfairy, but did check again, it is not there. I
can print from internet explorer, just not from outlook express. 6.00.2900.2180 is the version on the pc and I always keep the windows updates done. I've tried everything I can find on the web about this problem, but still have the problem. I'm using a different computer to research this, which has a different email program for spam filtering capabilities. It sounds like something completely external to Outlook Express is the cause
of the problem. Troubleshooting can be a lengthy and time consuming process, but the place to start would be by using Start/Run and typing: msconfig and after hitting the Enter key, click on the Startup tab and disable everything from starting up, rebooting and test to see if the problem is still there. If it's not, start adding programs back one at a time, rebooting after each addition until you find the faulting program. At that point, it's your choice, either live without the causing program or learn to live with it. Common problems would include popup stoppers, antispam blockers, phising filters, antivirus programs, etc., so it can take some time to find out the real cause. And there is always the remove/reinstall of Internet Explorer/Outlook Express: How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q318378 -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.
