jim,
it took awhile to check- even with the arrow keys its near impossible to scroll thru either the programs list in add/remove or the list of start ups in msconfig. but i don't see motive smart bridge on either list. thanks. i will restart and continue to try and get a better view of the applications. pete "Jim Pickering" wrote in message ... Motive SmartBridge (MOTIVESB.EXE) was probably installed by your ISP to aid in reporting connection issues. I would consider uninstalling this application unless you use it. Alternatively open MSConfig (Start, Run and enter MSConfig in the box and click OK), open the Startup tab and uncheck "Motive SmartBridge". -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. if i select the sort by window in add remove programs, it auto scrolls to
the bottom of the list. that calms the larger dialogue box down so i can use the scroll bar and search. there is definitely no motive smart bridge on pc pete "no name" wrote in message ... jim, it took awhile to check- even with the arrow keys its near impossible to scroll thru either the programs list in add/remove or the list of start ups in msconfig. but i don't see motive smart bridge on either list. thanks. i will restart and continue to try and get a better view of the applications. pete "Jim Pickering" wrote in message ... All I can suggest is to try another rodent and see if the problem is
hardware related.
