Seems a cooincidence since I installed the last few security updates and so
forth via Microsoft (two days ago).....I have not only lost all my contacts but Outlook Express will not let me "Create New Email" or "Reply" and will not add new contacts when I try to do so from email received. I've read technical stuff across the Microsoft website but this only confuses moir! I've uninstalled SP 2, then taken the tick out of Outlook Express to uninstall it, restarted my computer, reinstalled Outlook Express but nothing. I am going insane and don't understand pages of info about registry this and that, I just need to have Outlook Express working again. Could anybody help at all please? |

If you're convinced it was the updates that caused the problem, try using
System Restore to rollback your system to a date before the updates were installed. Click Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore and select a date before you installed the updates. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks Jim. I tried that. Set the date to a week ago. Thought it was too good
to be true....it made no changes to my system was the response. Help! Thanks. I did those things: ensured OE was default which it was. I removed OL
anyway but none of this made any difference. I've really stuffed something up...without seemingly even trying! Then I guess I'm out of ideas for awhile. I've got some queries going on to
Microsoft but it appears they're in a "slow answering" mode at this time, so I can't pass on any advice from there.
