I used to frequent the stationery ngs about ten years ago. I've since
married, and have a busy family life. Anyway... I made a video slideshow for my father's memorial service. I converted it to an swf (Flash movie) file, and I want to send it to my sister that wasn't able to attend the service. Is there a way to insert the object (the swf movie w/ player) into the email message for her to see, or do I just need to attach it. I seem to remember one particular person in the OE Stationery NG that frequently posted flash movies as a fun "stationery". They filled the entire message window, and were quite entertaining. Come to think of it, other friends have sent me "swf" emails. How do I do it? If anyone can help me, I'll be very grateful. Best regards, and Happy Resurrection Day! Stoney |

I'll assume that she has the flash player.
If you want to embed the flash object, her e-mail security settings need to allow it. Many mail clients disable that by default. Newer versions of Outlook Express run in the Restricted Zone by default. Another person's reply goes into how to do the embedding. You can just attach the SWF file, but by default there is no File Association for SWF files. But it's pretty easy for your sister to create one. If you e-mail the SWF as an attachment, have her save it. Then when she double clicks the file it will say there is program associated with it. Have her select the option to choose a program, then choose her web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), the check the box to always use this program. In the future she'll be able to easy open any SWF file. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Stoney" wrote in message ...
