Default error messages

Hi all, is there a way to disable outlook express error messages ? i
want rid of them because when i'm playing a game and a
send/recieve/etc... error occurs it interfears with my game (throws it
up to the task bar and displays the error).

Either fix the problem that is causing the error, close OE, or turn off
automatic e-mail checking while you're playing your games.

those are the obvious remedies but it didnt answer my question. "is
there a way to disable outlook express error messages ?"
i want to be aware of any new emails when they arrive but i also want
to play games while waiting for them. so i cant close oe or disable
auto-checking
