You can use Message Rules on the Sent Items folder, but you need to
manually apply them. If you want to go this route, put these rules at the end of your regular message rules and uncheck the box in front of each of these rules. That way they won't automatically get applied to incoming mail. Then once a day, or whenever, select Tools, Message Rules, Mail, select one of the rules, then Apply Now. In the next screen click on each of the rules to apply to highlight them. Then in the Browse window select the Sent Items folder. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "MG" wrote in message ... I put one of my addresses in BCC of the sent message. Applied a rule "Where
the from line contains "move it to the Personal folder". For another folder I use another of my email addresses, different rule. "MG" wrote in message ... Assuming you have folders set up for each of your customers and/or friends.
Go into your sent items folder and sort by name. Move all you sent to a certain name to their corresponding folder. Now that folder will not only have emails FROM that person to you but also emails from you to them. I do this so I can have a record of emails (including invoices) I send each client and can easily refer back for whatever reason. Rules are great but I use rules only for incoming mail to sort it into each customer's folder. I see how rules for outgoing could be useful but I'm not really wanting to have twice as many rules. -- Scotter Tyan Thunder K8WE Dual Opteron 252s (2.6ghz) 4 gig Corsair XMS DDR400 RAM XFX 7800 GTX 256 w/VGAsilencerV3 500 gig Hitachi SATA 300 160 gig Seagate SATA 150 Dual Dell 24" wide aspect LCDs 550W Antec power supply X-Fi Platinum Soundblaster - "MG" wrote in message ...
