Well, http://onl.uophx.edu/default.aspx certainly is. (These online uni
students are supposed to file their assignments to [private?] newsgroups using OE but it seems a few of them don't RTFM.) -- ~PA Bear Tom [Pepper] Willett wrote: snip Is the educational system in the US really that bad? I am a mother of three, the youngest is finishing her sophomore year in high school and the oldest is finishing her Junior year in college. I have worked with children most of my adult life and quit my job as a pre-school teacher to go back to school. I find that educating young mind is a very fulfilling job and my ultimate goal is to continue into the masters program after finishing with my bachelors in human services. I am what I have always called computer challenged but I have been working hard at power points and research papers. I am taking on a full load as I am doubling up on classes here at UOP and I am currently enrolled in a math class at the local junior college. I have great support at home am an excited to get started. Bobbie |

Typical college students. They inherited their lack of comprehension from
high school, which was inherited from grade school. "PA Bear" wrote in message ... Well, http://onl.uophx.edu/default.aspx certainly is. Hey Jerks. I am in college...yet I can differenciate between the
newsgroups. (And I can thread, as well). If you will notice my lack of spelling skills, however, I do have a problem... My outlook express is now set on only Spanish and French. I tried to change the option back to English, but to my horror...no English option. I was wondering if anybody knew how to correct this... Thanks... Kandi Ps. You want my bio, lmao! It is really good! "Tom [Pepper] Willett" wrote in message ... Typical college students. They inherited their lack of comprehension from high school, which was inherited from grade school. Wow, how strange. A real OE question from wintu.
You probably need to reinstall the proofing tools for Office on your computer. OE spell checker uses the Office dictionaries, so that's probably where the problem is. Its differentiate, not "differenciate". steve "CANDACE MCCRACKEN" wrote in message ... Hey Jerks. I am in college...yet I can differenciate between the newsgroups. (And I can thread, as well). I actually fixed the problem, thanks to all of your help. I just installed a trial version of Word 2007, lol, which was the reason for the screw up.
I really can believe that many of the new students get messed up a bit with there news groups...although tech support as well as the graduation team are really supposed to help with all problems (I guess I got lucky that way--in receiving good support and I was gifted with a little common sense, eh?) Sorry for the "Jerk" part, though, lol. It really didn't seem right to flame in a news group. Thanks Kandi "Steve Cochran" wrote in message ... Wow, how strange. A real OE question from wintu.
