Hi folks.
I know this has been answered but I have a slightly different problem. The email spider I am using only gives me the option to save the address's as semi-colon delimited, tab delimited, or line feed delimited. I'm sure there is a way to pen it in Word and change it, but I'm at a loss. Thanks Brian |

CrystalBall© sez:
1. Export your current Address Book as a text (CSV) file: Address Book File Export Other address book ... Examine the file's formatting. 2. Open the semi-colon delimited file you want to import Format like the one you exported in #1 above, then import it via File Import Other address book. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Mavityre wrote: Hi folks. I understand the first step.
The second step confuses me. How do I format that, in Word, to a CSV file? Thanks "PA Bear" wrote: CrystalBall© sez: 1. Ew boy. I'm over my head on this.
All I want to do is take the email address's I have off my daughters website so I can make a list that I can send thank you's to. I have Excel but have never really gotten into it. I have the email address's as a text file, how do I import that into Excel? Thanks again. I'm a dummy "Jim Pickering" wrote: You don't. If you have a list of addresses only, then try this. Open a new HTML
message in Outlook Express and copy/paste the addresses into the text portion of the new message. Click the Preview tab at the bottom so that links are active and then right click each address and select "Add to Address Book." -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Hmmm.... I'm almost with ya. When you say, "open a new HTML message", do
you mean, create an email? I can paste the info I want on a new email but I don't see a "preview" button down at the bottom. I'm guessing I have to purposely create a HTML message. How do I do that? Sorry. And thanks for your help. Brian "Jim Pickering" wrote: If you have a list of addresses only, then try this. Click Create Mail button to open a new message, then click Format/(Rich
Text)HTML and at the bottom there should be some tabs (Edit/Source/Preview) and if they do not appear, click on the menu in the Compose Message window, View/All Headers and you should see the tabs. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.
