Plus it is free with Explorer. Thank you for the advice. |

Plus it is free with Explorer. Thank you for the advice. Being free with Internet Explorer is no endorsement. Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird are both free, as well. Yes, some people actually do like MSFT junk. Some just stick with it because it is all that they know, and they are afraid to try something else. Others stick with it out of inertia. Both MSIE 6 and MSOE 6 are old, and overdue for replacement. The replacements won't run under Windows ME, and I am not keen on moving up to Windows XP. Something about "Product Aggravation" that I don't care for. Personally, my pick for email is Pegasus Mail, running behind Mercury/32. My own domain, my own mail server, and I haven't received spam to my domain mailbox in nearly a year; less then a dozen, or so for the whole year last year. My pick for a news agent is 40tude Dialog. Forté Agent, Super Gravity, and XNews are also good news agents. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

Mozilla/Tbird et al are OK but they don't integrate well with my needs for spam fighting and a few other things I'm into, while OE does. OE reliably does what I want it to do, and does not do what I don't want it to do; that simple. My only complaint about OE is that it doesn't literally correctly set itself up for bottom-posting and doesn't color-code communications, but that's so minor it's negligible since proper trimming requires a start from the top anyway. Besides, I added oequotefix once, and even it's a non-issue now. I don't see it as a problem that you don't use OE. Why do YOU imply that you see it as a problem that I do? HTH, Pop Have you found a work around for oequotefix disabling the spell check when replying? One other issue I have with OE is that it leaves many traces behind when you think you have deleted / removed old news groups. Search for *.dbx to see old groups you thought you had deleted and take a peek inside the folders.dbx folder. |

Tools | Options | Spelling Thanks Frank... that does work. However it does as implied and checks spelling for entire message. In the case of a long NG thread it takes a lot of "ignore all" clicks. I've lived with this problem for a couple of years and have gotten used to highlighting the new text and spell checking that. But thanks for an option. |
