I read a number of threads here about Compacting OE Files. Quite amazing!
There I was going along enjoying OE until this message started appearing
offering to do something I didn't feel or know I needed. Oh well.

More amazing, is that the OE areas of Microsoft.com contain no real links to
a search on "Compact". I guess they changed something and didn't want to say
anything about it.

And the link from OE Support at Microsoft.com "OE Newsgroup" actually goes
to a list of languages (well ok) then a list of topics - none of which is OE.
Do they expect every user to start expanding this list of business functions
one-by-one until they find where MS thinks OE fits in their scheme of things?
Why can't OE Support find the OE Newsgroup with both hands? Why make it so
hard?

See the second part of point 2 he www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 for an
explanation of the compaction issues.

MS has traditionally been unsupportive on OE issues.
