Well, okay. I have the same problem, maybe someone can help me. Outlook
express freezes up whenever I click on reply or create mail. I get the
little hourglass and nothing happens. I have to do ctrl-alt-delete and it
tells me Outlook is not responding so I have to shut down. I've tried to
download outlook again, even upgraded to IE-7 hoping to get a new and
improved outlook which will work. To no avail. Anyone have any suggestions
for me?

Do point 3 he www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx . Then go to File | Identities
and set up a new Identity. See if that fixes the problem.
