Suddenly, hyperlinks in OE e-mail messages don't work, e.g. I can see the
URL in the dialog box at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't open the browser. I'm not sure, but this may have started after I downloaded IE 7 Beta 2. Has anyone encountered this problem? -- --- John F. Smith Warminster, Pennsylvania w3jf at Hotmail.com ======================== You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. Bruce;
I'm having the same problem with putting a web page link in a message (OE 6.0) no beta testing on IE7.0 (I have IE6.0 with all updates) I'm getting a 404 error and no page can be accessed. This started in the last few days. Dudley Henriques "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... OP had a problem when clicking on a link in an e-mail message. You sound
more like the opposite. Are you having a problem when in a Web page clicking Send Link or Send Page? What's happening is that if I type in a link and mail it, it throws up a 404
page not available for the end user. I tried setting a link up and mailing it to myself and got the same thing. This seems to have started this week. If I type in the web page manually in IE, it comes up normally. I've noticed also that if I set the link in an email with just the main site, it sometimes will work. It's when I put in a / and a sub page that I always get the error. Here's one site that is doing this. If I give you the following link www.fscloud9.com I'm not sure if it will work for you. It will work if you type it in your browser...or at least it does for me. Even if the main web page which is what I gave you works, the following shouldn't work www.fscloud9.com/forum Dudley "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... Open a Web page and from the address bar, copy the URL and then paste it
into an e-mail and send it to yourself and see it there is a difference. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Dudley Henriques" wrote in message ...
