Default Email---CAN ANYONE HELP

I have used outlook express for years, with no problems in sending out
mulitple contacts. Within in last month, I am finding I can't send out more
then 3 at a time. I am told I can send as many as 90 at a time. I have use
this even when I switch over to Road Runner, but using my old address. About
a month ago, I switch my email address to Road Runner, and now I am having
problems sending out muliple message. I have contacted within in this time
Road Runner, AOl, OE, Dell, beause this came with Del package. I found out my
computer is ok. CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!

I never said I got an error message. I send one to me in the "TO" section,
and the rest of addresses under BCC. When They (have sent several to my
friends, which had more then 3 addresses included), and when I didn't get
them, I would ask my IM friends on line if they received them, and they
didn't. That is how I KNEW I could send more then 3. I started testing
myself, and when I got past 3 (including me), they never got to their
destinations. No message saying it couldn't be sent, no message at all, just
went in cyber space and no where else.
Both RR and AOL told me that my system can send out 90 at a time.
As I wrote in my original message...I talked to ALL of the people that
should have been able to help, but through testing, and all, none of them
could give me a reason for what is happening. First I called RR, after
testing things out, they sent me to AOL, because my RR came with a bundle
with AOL, and AOL uses Mackafee for Anti Virus Protection, so thought maybe
that was causing it. AOL sent me to OE, and because my system came when I
purchased my Dell XP, AOL sent me to Dell, because AOL doesn't have anything
to do with OE. Dell checked out my computer and found that was working up to
par, and want $$ to check out OE. I was told by AOL person, that he was
checking out some site like this, and read where someone else was having the
same problem I was, so thought I would try out this way too.
HELP.

What error message do you get.
Exactly what indicates that you cannot send to more than 3 addresses?
Who told you that you could send to 90 at a time?
Have you talked to the technical people at Road Runner?
You need to tell us more before we can help.

Most restrictions on the number of recipients you can used come from your ISP. They are trying to
prevent their customers from being accused of spam.

Assuming you have the option enabled, do you get a copy of these messages in
Sent Items folder? If so, whatever's causing the problem lies somewhere
outside of OE, Nonnie.

Some possibilities. (My first choice is a problem with McAfee):

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs and causes a multitude of problems such as
time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A/V program will
continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

****************

You may have a damaged identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create
a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the
old identity and delete it.

How to Create and Use Identities in Outlook Express
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=209169

*****************

You may have a damaged Outbox:

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder will reveal the location of
your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the folder
location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then Start | Run | Ctrl+V will put the
location in the box - Click OK and you'll see the OE files. Otherwise, write
the location down and navigate to it in Windows Explorer.

In Windows XP, 2K & 3K, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start | Control Panel | Folder Options |
View.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for the folder in question {Outbox.dbx}
and delete it. A new one will be created automatically when you open OE.

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They will eventually become
corrupt. Create your own user defined folders for storing mail and move your
mail to them. Empty Deleted Items folder regularly. Keep user created
folders under 100MB, and Default folders as empty as is feasible.

After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually while
working *offline* and do it often.

Click on Outlook Express at the top of the folder tree so no folders are
open. Then: FileWork Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status
Bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the
compacting is completed.

In Tools | Options | Maintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background and
leave it unchecked. {N/A if running XP/SP2}.
