For some reason a "phantom addressee" is being added to my email when the
first addressee is John. Another person from my address book with the name of John is copyed on the email even though I didn't enter the name and it doesn't show up on the email until after it has been sent. I have deleted names from my address book, but it seems to pick up the next John from somewhere?? I have only noticed this with the name John, but it could be happening with others. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? |

Tools, Options, Send, if you uncheck the Automatically Complete e-mail

Good idea Mike. I did turn off the autocomplete and only the intended
receipient ( John ) was included in my email. Toggled it on again and lo and behold the 2nd John showed up again!! I have two contact folders in my address book. Actually one folder and and the Shared Contact's list. The phantom addressee is not included in my Shared Contacts list, but is in the other folder. That is also the only John in the "non-Shared folder". Possibly some artifact from when I imported my address book when I got this new computer. I'll try to figure out some way to merge all the addresses into a single folder and see if that solves this mysterious addressee being included. Thanks for the idea and let me know if you have any further thoughts. jack "Michael Santovec" wrote: Tools, Options, Send, if you uncheck the Automatically Complete e-mail addresses when composing, does the problem go away? -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Jack" wrote in message ...
