Default OE compacting

AT and HMB wrote:
Perhaps I should have mentioned that I do compact regularly (after
off-lining). Likewise I also copy my email partition to another one
immediately before compacting.
My request was just about getting rid of the reminder which for some reason
comes up every time (even after I have just finished compacating).
Thanks.

The answer is to download and install OE Tool. If you use it to compact,
it will reset the counter to zero and you'll never see that message again.

That new feature of SP2 is dangerous. If you lose power and it's the
100th time, bye, bye messages.

Compacting is a helpful function that consolidates your email messages and
news posts to free up space on your hard disk. Windows automatically
offers
to do this every 100th time (I believe) you close Outlook Express, or you
can do it manually at any time. As Martha Stewart likes to say "This is a
good thing."

For more information on compacting, see he

Every time I close down OE I get the following message:
"Outlook Express

! To free up disk space, Outlook express can compact messages. This may

take
up to a few minutes.

OK Cancel"

I have searched through tools and accounts to try and find reference to
it
without success.

Help please to get rid.

Thanks
