I have been trying in vain to have an "&" symbol appear in an HTML email or
webpage. Specifically I would like B&B to be accepted, in an HTML email. I am floundering. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks Roger |

Hi Roger,
This should be taken care of automatically when composing in a new message window, but I must be missing how you are creating the message. In the source code B&B would look like: B&B (name code) B&B (number code) More Information http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey...al_characters/ -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "Roger" wrote in message ... Many thanks, Tim.
When I enter B&B, the spell checker won't recognize the B. If I allow it to be added to the Custom.dic dictionary, then it won't complain. I have been looking to do that in Word. 2003. I am sure I am missing something. I even tried to change to the Wingding 2 font for just the &, but struck out. Will study the reference that you gave me, and come back here. The OE spell checker flagging the "B" is normal. And it won't let you
add "B&B" as a word in the custom.dic because of the & it considers it 2 words. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Roger" wrote in message ... Many thanks, Tim. ![]() Hi Tim: I had started and struggled with that site before I came here. Undoubtedly I must have a basic setting that is fighting me. I used to go with WordPerfect, and there it was easy by just changing the font of that one character. Must be getting senile. Roger "Kuay Tim" wrote in message ... Have you tried substituting the characters: ;& where you would place
your ampersand? Just to see if it might work? Hth, Joe "Roger" wrote in message ... I have been trying in vain to have an "&" symbol appear in an HTML email or webpage.
