When I receive an email with an attachment and click on the paperclip, some
attachments have a picture of a little white square with about 3 red and blue dots on it instead of a picture of a little envelope. When I click on it to open the attachment, a window opens that says: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel" I don't have a clue what this means and I can never open those attachments. Can anybody help? |

save the file to the desktop
click the file, if there is truly not a program associated with the file, the 'open with' dialog will appear find the appropriate application in the list and select it, OK out. IF the file does not open properly close the application and try again with a different one. IF the file opens properly in that application, close the application, click the file again, and this time check the 'always open this filetype with this program' checkbox.
