Default Paste a photo

Hi,

Using XP Pro SP1 Outlook Express 6 and Outlook 2002:

I will use Outlook 2002 to send email to my parents who are using Outlook
Express. Using Outlook 2002, I will paste a small photo. But my parents
say they did not get the pasted photo. What caused that? A setting in
Outlook Express or Outlook?

I can attach the photo in Outlook 2002 and then they will get it. However,
I like to know why, they couldn't get it when it was pasted?

Thanks,

MarkC

You are using XP/SP2, not SP1, but that is of little relevance.

I can't speak for Outlook as it is a completely different program, but if
you were using OE, you cannot paste a graphic into an e-mail. You either
have to save it to your HDD and then Insert | Picture, or Insert |
Attachment. Copy.paste will result in a box with a red X for the recipient.

My gut tells me it is the same using Outlook, but to be sure, ask in an
Outlook newsgroup.

Default Paste a photo

In Outlook Express: ToolsOptionsSecurity: UNCHECK 'Block Images....'

In Outlook 2002, try inserting the photo as an attachement and send in HTML
to your parents, not RTF
