Can someone please help me. The above error is coming up when I try to
connect to Outlook Express. I know someone else had an error number 0x800CC0E which was to do with an anti-spam program or and anti-virus set to scan, but have tried this (I have McAfee) and this does not work. Mind you I haven't reset the server names in OE as I don't know how to do this. Tracy |

If your settings in Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | All Tabs are not
correct, you will see this error, and possibly others. Call your ISP for the settings. They should be happy to walk you through this. That's what you pay them for. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "tracy rich" wrote in message ... Can someone please help me. Tracy Is the error similar to this: | The connection to the server has failed. | Account: 'None', | Server: 'mail.pacbell.net', | Protocol: SMTP, | Port: 25, | Secure(SSL): No, | Socket Error: 10060, | Error Number: 0x800CCC0E I get that when I put in a router block on outbound port 25. There may be other causes. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |
