Are the emails you are attempting to insert a graphic image into, formatted
as HTML? You cannot insert a picture into a Plain Text formatted message. If you are using HTML formatting and getting the error, then it's quite possible that your existing identity has been corrupted. Try creating a new identity, switch to it and create a mail account and test inserting an image. If that works, you can import your messages from the old identity. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Jim,
E-mails are formatted into Rich Text (HTML). O.E. 6 only 'hangs up' when I click on an image (jpg or gif) or the 'Browse' button to go to another folder. Must use ctrl/alt/del to get away from e-mail. Never had this problem with WinXP Home. Only now on new machine with WinXP media. Did you try creating a new identity and testing it? It really sounds like a
corrupted identity. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 "drybones" wrote in message ... Jim, E-mails are formatted into Rich Text (HTML).
