Default MESSAGES BEING SENT ARE DELIVERED IN DUPLICATE

WHEN I SEND MESSAGES THE RECEIPENT IS RECEIVING THE SAME MESSAGE IN
DUPLICATE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN USING OUTLOOK EXPRESS BUT WHEN I SEND FROM
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN THE MESSAGES ARE ONLY RECEIVED ONCE.
I HAVE HAD MY PC RE-FORMATTED BY PC PEOPLE BUT STILL DOES THE SAME. THE
PEOPLE ATTENDING AND MAINTENINING MY PC IS ALSO CONFUSED THEY HAVE NEVER HAD
SUCH A PROBLEM. ALL SETTINGS ARE CORRECT. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE. THE
RECEIPANTS ARE GETTING FRUSTRATED WITH ME AND MY DUPLICATING OF MESSAGES.
THANKS

Maybe the problem's due to your stuck CapsLock key? (Posting in all caps is
considered SHOUTING!)

Do all recipients receive these dupes or just some? All messages or just
some?

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection, it may be causing the problem, and even Symantec says
it's not necessary:

paste
Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that
are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans
incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and
email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To
make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep
Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have
the most recent virus definitions.
