I have a user, using OE 6. There was a Rule created so that all emails came
in with [Spam] will be sent to a folder called [Spam]. It was working fine till yesterday. The rule stop functioning. I tried to re-run the Rule, it worked again. However, the next morning, after restarting the PC, the rule did not load anymore and all the spammed mails are going into his Inbox. What is wrong here? Do I need to reinstall OE6 for him? |

Modify the rule and add the action "Stop processing more rules" and move it to the top of the list. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP, OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Please respond in newsgroup |

Hi GNO,
OR - contact the ISP as many now can do the filtering for you and hold all spam in your account with them. Though, do find out what they do with it, as some auto-delete after 7 days. Then once a week you can go into your account on their website and look through them at leisure - delete the ones you do not want and have the ones you do sent through to your computer. My ISP does this - I still get the odd one a week, but its much better than 10 or 20 per day. And they are now stopping the .gif formatted spam emails, which you cannot control with message rules at all - well there is a very involved way to use this method.
